March 28, 1979

So, lets look back. What exactly where you thinking about on this date? What were you doing?

What was you worried about?

How about three little words:

Three Mile Island

I remember the news reports breaking into the normal broadcasts. I remember them talking about a possible melt down and what that could cause or do, or what they thought could happen if it got away. Do you remember the report of the reactor "running away" (I loved that terminology) and doing a complete meltdown. It could melt right through the bottom of the reactor and wouldn't stop until it hit the Earths Core. There they (the scientists) didn't have the faintest idea what could happen. They still don't know what could happen.

Why was this not mention on today's news reports? Have we forgotten this quickly? Anybody remember Chernobyl?
